One Mile in Foster Shoes: A Foster Care Simulation
This foster care simulation was created by individuals with experience entering and living in the foster care system. The main focus was to help foster care stakeholders understand what it's like for individuals who live in foster care. This simulation is more impactful then a college course, book or a presentation from any one speaker with lived experience.
Chafee Foster Care Independence Support Services for VA LDSS
Chafee Grant Regulations adds a separate manual for youth in foster care over the the age of 14. Emerging Phoenix can do the Transition Plans, Casey Life Skills Assessments, National Youth in Transition Database surveys, monthly Independent Living Skills learning sessions, etc. Increase compliance while LDSS workers focus on the big picture for their cases.

Emerging Phoenix is founded by a Foster Care Alumni who has been a foster/adoptive parent and a social worker working with youth in foster care. We strive to improve the chance of youth become happy and healthy adults and are open to meeting this goal by helping fill cracks and support stakeholders.
