About Our Services
One Mile in Foster Shoes: A Foster Care Simulation
A training tool designed to simulate the foster care system from the perspective of children in care. It aims to help stakeholders understand the complexities of the system and increase empathy towards the children/youth in its custody. Created by individuals with foster care experience, this simulation is considered more impactful than traditional educational methods such as college courses, books, or presentations.
Independent Life Skill Services
Emerging Phoenix's Life Navigators teach tangible Life Skills needed for self sufficiency using evidence based curriculums. Over a hundred hours of lessons covering finances, employment, housing, transportation, and much more help teens gain essential skills and knowledge for adulthood. One-on-one meetings ensure youth receive personalized services focused on their needs and goals for their future. Youth see an average of over 40% increase in Daniel Memorial Life Skills Scores after 60 hours with a Life Navigator. Our goals is to ensure they are better prepared for adulthood than their peers no matter their permanency goals.
